The Christian Adulthood Initiative

Peter is President of the Christian Adulthood Initiative, a nonprofit that invites youth into Christian adulthood.

CAI believes the American church needs to reform its approach to youth ministry.

Instead of delegating the terms of adulthood to society, we need to invite our youth into Christian adulthood before they leave home.

CAI uses insights about adulthood from theology, humanities, arts, and social sciences to equip local communities to make the Christian adulthood invitation to their youth with wisdom, skill, and hope.

From leading Bible studies or children’s ministry, to facilitating adult education classes or giving dramatic readings of books of the Bible, to setting up tables and running A/V, Peter has committed himself to local church service his whole life long. He loves the church, even when it’s silly, sad, or broken.

Confident in a lifelong call to become clergy, Peter someday hopes to pursue ordination and pastor a local church.
