Behold:
The Lord, your Righteousness, will come suddenly into his temple. He in whom you delight will come.
Prepare the way for the Lord! Make his paths straight!
Every valley will be filled and every mountain and hill made low. The crooked will be straightened, the rough made smooth and flat.
The sun will darken and the moon turn red. The seas will churn, and the nations will tremble.
And you will see your salvation.
Prepare the way for the Lord!
"Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens."
The heavens will pass away with a roar, and everything will be exposed
For our God is a consuming fire.
Prepare the way for the Lord!
He will descend with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God.
He will be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire
clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest. The hairs on his head, white like wool, white as snow. His eyes like a flame of fire, his feet like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice like the roar of many waters. In his right hand, seven stars. From his mouth, a two-edged sword, his face like the sun shining in full strength.
Prepare the way for the Lord!
He is drawing near for judgment.
He will crush Satan under his feet.
Who can endure the day of his coming? And who will stand when he appears?
His coming is like a trap,
Like a thief,
Like the morning,
He is like a refiner's fire and like fuller's soap.
The Lord, your redemption, is coming.
Prepare the way for the Lord!
"Behold I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay everyone for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.
Prepare the way for the Lord!
Little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin.
The Lord, your Righteousness, will come!
Straighten up and raise your heads.
Stay awake and stand.
Be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
If you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one's deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile, knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like a lamb without blemish or spot.
As sojourners and exiles, abstain from the passions of your flesh, which wage war against your soul.
The Lord, your Righteousness, will come!
The sun will darken and the moon turn red.
The seas will churn, and the nations will tremble.
Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God?
God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
Prepare the way for the Lord!
Love one another earnestly with a pure heart, since you have been born again not by perishable seed, but by imperishable.
To this you have been called, for Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example so that you might follow in his steps. He commited no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth. When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you are healed.
Prepare the way for the Lord!
Since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot and blemish, and at peace.
Be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold the Judge is standing at the door!
The Lord, your Righteousness, will come!
The King is coming! Fling wide the doors of your heart that he may come in.
Prepare the way for the Lord!
Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Be sober-minded. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion waiting for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
Do not grow weary in doing good.
By his wounds you are healed.
Let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who dies for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up.
Be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
By his wounds you are healed.
Abide in him, little children, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming.
Watch yourselves. Do not be weighed down. Stay awake. Do not faint. Stand. Pray for strength,
He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
Prepare the way for the Lord!
He was clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest.
"Behold, I am making all things new."
I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which he will display at the proper time–he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.
Prepare the way for the Lord.
"Surely, I am coming soon."
